How Do You Engage?
Advisory only, or hands-on services?
Client requirements and interaction preferences shape our services delivery model. In many cases clients prefer that we combine “coaching with doing.” By blending coaching with service delivery, we help team members learn from the experience and work towards self-sufficiency.
Some of our C-level clients prefer to engage us as strategic advisors (with some coaching thrown in). They consult with us on which path to take, or which opportunity to prioritize and why. Once they’ve clarified where they want to go and the actions required to achieve the desired outcomes, we find that leaders prefer to direct their own people on the chosen action plan.
We also provide hands-on services, such as one-on-one exploratory conversations with customers, buyers or key stakeholders; executive ghostwriting, or drafting strategy summaries, slide decks or emails to be distributed by the leadership team.
Interim project assignments
For exceptional clients we can engage as an interim VP of marketing or chief content officer for several quarters. This approach enables clients to buy time during a transition period, until they are ready to launch a talent search for the perfect full-time candidate.
We also lead project teams on high import projects, such as strategic planning, buyer persona research or insight-seeking conversations with important customers or partners.
We can structure our work together as a fixed-fee or retainer-based project, or time-and-materials when there is uncertainty about scope or effort required.
Do You Work with Agencies?
In 2016 we will explore selective partnering with Northwest agencies. We’re interesting in talking to forward-thinking agencies that want to differentiate their service offerings based on the quality of the strategy work they can deliver to their clients.
For teams with similar values and working styles, we believe that 1 + 1 > 2.
